Most portrait sessions are a flat rate fee of $125 for 1 hour. Newborn sessions in your own home are $250 for up to 3 hours. The session fee covers the time and talent of the photographer. It does not include prints or digital images.
An online gallery will be provided to you to review "rough edits". This is when you get to decide how many photos you want to purchase. The more you buy, the more you save.
Purchased photos will be fully edited and retouched. All packages include a digital download, and some also include a flash drive and small print combo box.
What kind of retouching is included?
A.I believe in the philosophy of keep what is permanent, and remove what is temporary. Therefore I will remove things like scrapes, minor acne, and small bruises. But I will do my best to make sure all moles, birthmarks, and other things of that nature are preserved.
I will also do a light complexion smoother that fades things like fine wrinkles so that they are not as prominent.
What if I want more retouching done?
A.No problem! When you place your order, you can let me know if you'd like for more extensive retouching to be done. Most things can be done at no extra charge. If the request is very complex, I will give you a cost quote before proceeding.
How long will the session last?
A.Most portrait sessions last about 1 hour, with newborn sessions being the exception.
Do I have to order prints through you?
A.Some of the most common print issues that clients experience when they choose to not print through their online gallery include inaccurate and/or blotchy colors, too much contrast, or too little contrast and/or desaturation creating a muddy effect. I make sure to offer as many sizes as possible at the most affordable price so that you can have access to professional quality prints for the images that you've invested so much in.
Investing in high-end photography but ordering prints at Walgreen's is similar to wearing an evening gown to a date night at Taco Bell. It just doesn't make sense.
